fell asleep on my friends couch
i guess im exhausted
i think the jameson is helping though
woke up and hung out a bit more
then at midnight
suddenly felt like i really really had to leave
not like she wanted me to leave
just this crazy kinda witching hour feel
like something was pending upon my fortune
tried to reason it away to the sunday to monday thing
but hell
its not like weekends mean anything to me

so i left
and was halfway home
before the rain came
it was nice at first
enough to wash the sweat off my face
i was ready for winter and walked out into spring
but then the drops got thicker
and my tights got tighter
and my boots are water.tight...from the inside out
i could feel the water pouring down my shins
down the back of my calfs
and just had to keep pedaling
it was the puddle pouring off the top of my bag
sealed tight and safe
that drenched my back
though my spash guard saved me
i would have been sitting in a swamp other wise
you never appreciate a nice dry crotch til the mean rain comes along

the odd thing was that i kept smelling skunks
but didnt see any hit on the side of the road
now ive seen possums
and there was a rabbit i rode past for about a week or so
yes, progress was noted
but i havent seen any skunks
which worries me
am i going fast enough that a skunk cant spray me
or is this something i should worry about
im worried enough with the crazies on the side of the road
waiting for that one person
whos nuts enough
to throw themselves at a bike
just to snag my wallet
...big suprise theyd get there
so sorry
nothing for ya
i guess tonight
they would at least have gotten some apples in the deal

tomorrow i will find out
what these pink slips ive been getting
really mean

its something about my car
but they dont call it a recall
and theres no accompanying warning
"do not drive above 40mph will explode"
or anything like that
so ive just assumed i was safe
and happily procrastinated
i mean hell
its not like i drive the thing often anyway
so hopefully hopefully
i will get to the bottom of this tomorrow
